Meet Rose Nguti Che
Rose Che is originally from Cameroon and has been in the U.S. for 35 years. She lives in Cincinnati. Rose is an accomplished event manager and Chef who prides herself on complete customer satisfaction. She has a passion for fresh ingredients that she developed while staying with her Aunt in the suburbs of Northwest Province (Santa Mbu). She is inspired by her Mother who instilled a passion for cooking and Sharing in her. Rose is also driven and supported by her husband who encourages her to explore her talents and gets her strength from her children.
Her dishes are infused with flavors from her home country in Central Africa, Cameroon, and are prepared with her own original twist.
She makes Cameroon-inspired dishes incorporating the taste and styles of many other cultures.
Cooking and planning events is more than her profession, it is her passion.
Rose has always had a knack for creating mouthwatering dishes that leave taste buds begging for more. She believes that getting creative with spices is crucial for creating interesting and flavorful taste combinations. As a result, she consistently serves versatile, savory dishes suitable for a variety of palates.
What sets Rose apart as a chef and business owner is that CHE’S offers uniquely designed menus of authentic food selections. It even specializes in pre-made meals specially prepared to freeze well. Additionally, it provides full-service event management including event design, floral design, hiring, and décor.
From Che to Chef: The Beginning
Rose’s love for cooking stems from growing up in Cameroon with her mother. From a youthful age, she would watch her cook with fresh, organic vegetables straight from the farm that she’d miraculously turn into delectable meals. Since then, her passion and curiosity for cooking has grown daily. Her quest to continuously push the limits on what is possible with food motivated her to enroll in and graduate from the culinary institute, FreshLo, where she was able to get exposure to a wide range of dishes from all around the world. Now, her mission, and joy, are to share that inspiration with each person she serves. She wants to serve her food, create a wonderful environment, and be a great host.
